Joe Page Bridge Open For Business
HARDIN, IL - Local residents are now able to cut hours off travel between Calhoun County and the rest of the region now that the Joe Page Bridge and IL Route 100 are open for business.

A car heads out of Calhoun County from East Hardin after crossing the now open Joe Page lift bridge.
The breach of the Nutwood levee ended access to Calhoun County via Rt 100 and the 1930's era lift bridge that connects the peninsula to Jersey County.

Grain bins that were once mostly submerged make a silhouette under an almost full moon on August 13, 2019.
The water finally receded over the last few days and made travel possible. Just last week the roads were impassable due to water on the pavement.

The barricades are now gone at the intersection of Il Route 100 and Eldred Road.
The Kampsville Ferry has been stressed handling traffic with the bridge out of service and wait times to cross were in excess of an hour when only one ferry was in service due to recent maintenance issues.
