Both Marquette And Carrollton Win Games

Sam Cogan had a 2-for-2 day for MCHS with an RBI and run scored, Jayce Maag 2-for-4 with a double and run scored and Montana Gossage with an RBI and run scored on the day. Alex Bowker went 2-for-4 for the Hawks with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored, Hayden Stringer 1-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored, Nathan Walker 1-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored, Kyle Walters 4-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored, Blake Struble 2-for-4 wit a run scored, Kolton Bottom 1-for-4 with an RBI and run scored and Ethan Brannan 1-for-3 with a run scored.
Struble struck out three for the win while Jacob Zacha struck out five in taking the loss.
Just across the road, Marquette Catholic's Meghan Schorman was almost unstoppable once again and had a homer and two RBIs to go with her 14 strikeouts on the mound and a complete game against the Hawks.
Marquette Catholic took the lead early and went on to post a 9-1 win over Carrollton taking the Explorers going to 29-1 on the year, while the Hawks fell to 14-12.
Kyra Green was 2-for-2 with a double and run scored for Marquette, Tess Eberlin 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored, Gracie Morris 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored and Cayli Shinstock 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored. Marley Mullink was 1-for-3 with a double for the Hawks, with Hannah Krumwiede 1-for-4 with a run scored and Kennedy Ruyle, Claire Williams and Hannah Rhoades each having hits for Carrollton.
