Bulldogs Get Lead That Panthers Can't Overtake

The Mississippi Valley Conference matchup was at Ken Schell Field Wednesday. Jersey fell to 8-8 overall, 0-6 in the league, while the Bulldogs went to 12-5 overall, 5-1 in the MVC.
Collin Carey went 2-for-3 with a double and RBI for the Panthers, with Logan Simpson 2-for-3 with an RBI, Brett Tuttle 1-for-2 with a double, RBI and run scored with Jacob Brady, Ronnie Gullander and Blake Wittman also getting hits for JCHS. Tuttle took the loss for the Panthers, fanning six.
The Panthers host Alton for a 4:30 p.m. Friday game before going to Jacksonville for a 10 a.m. Saturday twin bill.
