The Birds posted their first game as a win as the Panthers fell to 0-2.
Bri Roloff went 4-for-5 with two triples, two RBIs and three runs scored; Sydney Baumgardner was 3-for-4 with a triple, four RBIs and two runs scored, Hailey Edwards 3-for-5 with two doubles, three RBIs and two runs scored; and Bailey Nixon 3-for-5 with a double and three RBIs. Claire Anderson led Jersey with a 3-for-3 day with an RBI and two runs scored; Peyton Tisdale 2-for-4 with two runs scored; and Brooke Tuttle 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
Nixon struck out three in getting the win; Anderson took the loss for JCHS.
Collinsville 9, Jersey 8
COLLINSVILLE - The Collinsville Kahoks scored a run in the bottom of the ninth to slide by Jersey 9-8 at Collinsville Sports Complex Wednesday afternoon.
Lauren Brown went 3-for-5 for the Panthers with a double and four RBIs, with Sydney Gillis 2-for-3 with three runs scored, Peyton Tisdale 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored and Melissa Weishaupt 2-for-5 with two RBIs; Erica Storey took the loss for JCHS.
Brakebill was 4 for 4 with an RBI and Hall was 3 for 4 for the Kahoks.
The Panthers fell to 0-3 on the year, while the Kahoks went to 2-0.
Carrollton 14, Brussels 4
BRUSSELS - Carrollton’s softball girls dominated Brussels 14-4 in a six-inning affair at Brussels this past Friday.Claire Williams, Cameryn Varble and Ava Unless each had two hits for Carrollton. Varble and Unless had two RBI.
Marley Mullink struck out six in the game and pitched four innings. She was the winning pitcher.

PIASA SOUTHWESTERN 14, JERSEY 9
JERSEYVILLE - Luke Golike, Ryne Hanslow and Chase Stohl each had three hits for Piasa Southwestern Wednesday as the Birds defeated Jersey 14-9 at Ken Schell Field in Jerseyville; the Birds improved to 1-2 on the year, while the Panthers fell to 3-1.
Golike, Hanslow and Stohl were each 3-for-5 on the day, with Golike tripling and Stohl doubling; Golike had an RBI and two runs scored, Hanslow two RBIs and two runs scored and Stohl two RBIs and a run scored; Eddie Bolin was 2-for-3 with a run scored, Jack Little 2-for-4 with two runs scored and Jacob Simmons 2-for-2 with two RBIs and two runs scored.
Collin Carey was 5-for-5 with two doubles, two RBIs and a run scored for JCHS; Blake Wittman was 3-for-5 with a triple and three RBIs, John Woelfel 3-for-3 with two runs scored and John Collins, Ronnie Guilander and Ryan Johnes each having a double on the day for Jersey.
Jacob Fryman got the win for Piasa, while Griffin Nash took the loss.
Jersey Wins Two On St. Patrick's Day
JERSEYVILLE - Jersey defeated Roxana 11-0 and then Gibault 9-3 to push its record to 3-0 on the season last Saturday.
The game against Alton on Monday was rained out.
Blake Wittman doubled twice against Roxana; Ryan Jones had two hits for Jersey against Roxana and scored two runs.
Brett Tuttle had three hits against Waterloo; Logan Simpson had two hits against Gibault, one of the hits was a double.
Tucker Shalley was the winning pitcher against Roxana with eight strikeouts in five innings.Tuttle was the winner against Waterloo, allowing four hits in six innings. He struck out 10.
Carrollton 20, Brussels 1, 3.5 innings
BRUSSELS - Carrollton's baseball team defeated Brussels 20-1 in 3.5 innings on 3/16.
Hayden Stringer had three hits and Tyler Barnett four RBIs for Carrollton.
The Hawks erupted for 12 runs in the second inning and went on to take the win; the Raiders' only run came in the bottom of the second. Kolten Bottom went two innings in the game and struck out five for the game.
