Jersey head girls coach Kevin Strebel said the free throws in overtime and at the end were critical for the win.
Strebel praised his entire team for their effort and said he had contributions from all the players on the team.
He said the win over Highland was important and shows his quad is “for real.”
“
Defensively, they were coming hard at us, but our girls played tough,” he said.
Highland head girls coach Mike Arbuthnot saluted Jersey for such a strong effort. He also singled out Kronk for her brilliant play.
“We came out and made some adjustments at halftime and got the momentum, but Jersey didn’t quit and it was a heck of a ball game,” he said. “Credit to them they deserved to win. We have two conference games left then the post-season, so we have to turn things around.”
