Greenfield’s scoring was as follows: Zane Thompson 9 points, Hayden Lawson 8 points, Blake Meyer and Ben Bayless 7 points.
Greenfield-Northwestern led at the end of one 10-5, then 22-15 at the half. The Tigers moved ahead by a 33-25 margin at the end of three, but Carrollton came blazing back with 19 points to the Tigers’ 6 in the final quarter for the end score of 44-39.
Carrollton’s head coach Matt Goetten had this to say about the victory: “A win is a win. Again another slow start, though. The boys do play better in second half typically. We struggled to score the ball and finally hit a few in the fourth quarter.”
Greenfield-Northwestern head coach Joe Pembrook said this following the game: “I was proud of the way we battled we brought a lot of energy and intensity to the ballgame. I thought we did a good job of handling the pace of game in the first three quarters, but fell apart in the fourth quarter.”
