Lady Hawks Prevail Against Spartans
GAME VIDEO LINK
Hannah Krumwiede scored 28 points to pace the Hawks and is now within 7 points of a high school career 1,000 points. Claire Williams and Grace Cox added 10 points apiece. The Hawks made 25 of 35 from the free throw line. Krumwiede connected on 14 of 16 free throws. Lakeleigh Brown had 16 points for North Greene and Bree Barnard added 13 points.
Carrollton head coach Blaine Hartwick said he thought his team shot free throws well and that was a key to the game. He said his team will have to improve its rebounding efforts, though, to be successful in future games.
North Greene head coach Jim Roesch said the Hawks’ free throw shooting and their slow first half effort led to the defeat. “We could hardly make a free throw and they shot a bunch and made them,” he said. “We are playing them again Saturday; we hope this time the outcome is different.”
