JERSEYVILLE - The two found dead in a car on East Prairie Street in Jerseyville were identified today as Lisa Fessler, 49, and Danny Schrieber, 31, both of Jerseyville. It was reported that the bodies were found by Fessler's husband after he had returned home from work.

Schreiber had an extensive court record, including being in possession of a firearm while being prohibited, felony drug possession and burglary. Jersey County Coroner Alexander conducted the autopsies Monday, the day Fessler was to have appeared in court on a drug related charge. Alexander said it may be a minimum of four to six weeks before toxicology reports are issued and also related that it appears carbon monoxide may have been the cause of death of the two found in the car.

Foul play is not suspected in the case, Jerseyville Police Chief Brad Blackorby said.
