Jersey Hits Carlinville Hard 66-44
Blake Wittman and Coby Gibson had 31 of the Panthers’ 66 points. Wittman had 16 points and Gibson totaled 15 points respectively. A.J. Shaw added nine points for Jersey.
Joe Fraser and Jarret Easterday tossed in 12 points each for Carlinville.
“We didn’t play hard enough the first half,” Jersey coach Stote Reeder said. “Their guard were better than I expected against our press.” Reeder said he was pleased with the play of all his boys, but Wittman, Gibson, Shaw, Ross and Goldacher were singled out. He said it was great to see Wittman get some of his confidence back in his shooting with his 16-point performance, even without any three-point goals.
Jersey plays at home against Waterloo at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
