Southwestern 8th Grade Off To State Basketball Final Playoffs

Southwestern clipped Pana 43-16 on Wednesday night and now are headed to state.

"We wanted to be aggressive and we did that," said Southwestern head girls coach Steve Wooley. "The first half was a little rough, but I think sometimes we have to feel things out."   Wooley said he was pleased with the way his team performed in the second half.   Addie Green led all scorers with 21 points, followed by Cami Bolin with 8 points.   Southwestern plays at 11:30 a.m. Saturday against Tolono Unity at Germantown Hills Middle School in the state quarterfinals.   Archival prints are available of any of the images here by contacting michael@greatriversmedia.com
