Carrollton Girls Drop One To Brown County
CARROLLTON - Carrollton’s girls showed a lot of determination, but were unable to edge Brown County in a 46-41 loss Monday night in Carrollton.
Ava Uhles led Carrollton with 14 points, while Hannah Krumwiede added 12 points, Kaylie Rhoades had 9 points and Claire Williams finished with 6 points. Alexis Doyle of Brown County led all scorers with 18 points, and teammate Mariah Market added 11 points.
“We bounced back and found a good matchup with our freshman guard, but it was too late,” Carrollton head girls basketball coach Blaine Hartwick said.
Brown County head girls coach Dave Phelps said he thought his team showed a lot of composure and did a great job defensively, guarding Carrollton’s Hannah Krumwiede.
“I thought our defensive play was a key to the game,” he said.
Carrollton returns to action Tuesday at Western.
