Carrollton head girls basketball coach Blaine Hartwick was glad to step away with the victory.
“We are a scrappy bunch and we played well,” Hartwick said of the overtime victory. “We panicked a little bit, then got out ahead and then played like we were behind, but they are a good team and going to push us. I am just proud of my girls.”
Hartwick said the WIVC play will be tough and next week, the Lady Hawks face Brown County and Barry-Western and both will be tough opponents.
Greenfield coach Caleb Williams said, "We had our chances to win the ballgame tonight, it obviously could have went either way. We just didn't finish well and they did. I can't take anything away from them, they are a good team."
Greenfield-Northwestern travels to Routt on Monday night, then is back home Thursday against West Central.
