“It was our first game and we have a lot of rust to work through, but out kids played with great intensity,” said North Greene head coach Brett Berry.
Berry said he was proud of all his players’ efforts, including the younger players, led by the Hopper twins.
Josh Hopper had 11 points to lead the Spartans, while Collin Van Meter and Jonah Hopper had 10 points. Brett Whicker added 8 points, while Justin Lawson and Carter Hoesman each had 4 points for North Greene.
Pleasant Hill was led by Grant Peebles with 12 points, to lead all scorers in the game, and Jesse Crowder added 7 points.
North Greene led 24-14 at the half in the game, then outscored Pleasant Hill 13-11 and 19-11 in the final two periods.
