Freshman Clare Breden exploded for 24 points, including 4 3-point shots in the game and head girls coach Kevin Strebel said her hard work outside Jersey has paid off.
Brianna Schroeder contributed 9 points and Abby Manns had 8 points in the game.
Coach Strebel commended Schroeder and Peyton Tisdale for both hitting some great 3-point shots in the game.
Jersey hosts Mascoutah on Thursday and has several MVC games coming up, which are important for the start of the season, their coach said.
“Our first conference games and getting a good start are something we are really focused on right now,” he said.
Waterloo fell to 0-5 overall. Waterloo was led by Sydney Luedeman's 20 points.
