Carrollton Football Season Ends In Tuscola
Carrollton scored first in the game on its first drive, but the Warriors came away with a decisive 48-20 win against the Hawks in Tuscola on Saturday afternoon. The Hawks season ends at 10-2.
Warriors wide receiver Dalton Hoel caught three touchdown passes from Luke Sluder and rushed for one himself to lead the Warriors. Carrollton's Hunter Flowers threw two touchdowns and three interceptions in the game. Flowers finishes the season with a school season record of 34 touchdowns.
Tuscola moves on to face Athens next Saturday in the Class 1A semifinals.
Carrollton head coach Nick Flowers praised his team after the game and said the future looks extremely bright for his Hawks. Carrollton returns quarterback Hunter Flowers, who is an all-state candidate at the quarterback slot, sensational receiver Nathan Walker and running back Byron Holmes next year.
“We just got to have a good off-season, and we’ll be back without a doubt,” Flowers said after the contest. “We feel we’ll be back in this same position next year. That’s our only expectation.”
