Halloween Festival A hit In Jerseyville

The Jerseyville Public Library Halloween Festival was once again a big success, with costume judging and eventually a parade through downtown that brought everyone back to the library for an

afternoon of activities.

Several businesses provided children the opportunity to trick-or-treat.

There were also many activities for families at the library facility that included games, an inflatable obstacles course, a corn pit, pumpkin and face painting as well as free food.

“We have been doing this since I started with the library 20 years ago and it was being done for some time before that,” the Jerseyville Library children’s librarian Laurie Ingram said.

She continued, “People all come out and have fun. It is a fun event. We have some very talented people who make creative costumes.”
