Panthers End Football Season with Columbia Win
Jersey recognized 17 football seniors before the game, along with senior band and cheerleaders.
“I am so happy they got the chance to end their season on a win,” Jersey Coach Jon Adkins said.
The Jersey football seniors honored were:
Blake Wittman, a wide receiver/defensive back
Jacob Brady, a wide receiver/defensive back
Brett Tuttle, a wide receiver/defensive back
Drew Sauerwein, a senior quarterback
Christopher Jackson, a running back/linebacker
Jack Brandt, a running back/linebacker
Collin Carey, an offensive lineman/defensive linemen
Ross Speidel, an offensive lineman
Nick O’Neal, an offensive lineman/defensive lineman
Greg Towell, an offense lineman/linebacker
Austin Stepanek, an offensive lineman/defensive lineman
Logan Chandler, an offensive lineman/defensive lineman
Noah Kuehnel, an offensive lineman/defensive lineman
Jaden Craigmiles, an offensive lineman/defensive lineman
and Paul Nelson, an offensive lineman/defensive lineman
Jon Woelfel, a wide receiver/linebacker
Nick O’Neal, an offensive lineman/defensive lineman.
Quarterback Drew Sauerwein and receiver Blake Wittman led the Panthers to the victory. Sauerwein was 14 of 20 passing for 163 yards and three touchdowns. Sauerwein ran 10 times for 124 yards. Wittman caught eight passes for 76 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Kurt Hall had four catches for 41 yards and Brett Tuttle had one catch for 41 yards and a touchdown.
Jersey ends the year 4-5.
