Panther Volleyball Falls to Bulldogs

espite a strong Jersey effort, defeated the Panthers 25-17, 25-15.
Jersey is now 6-17, 0-8 in the MVC, while Highland is 18-3-1 and 8-0 in the MVC. Faith Franke had seven points and four blocks for the Panthers and Hannah Jones had six blocks.
Jersey volleyball coach Bob Siemer said he was pleased with his team’s play, despite the loss.
“Highland is the first place team in the conference and No. 3 seed in our sectional,” he said. “I thought we played well. We look forward to playing four matches on Saturday in the Panther Invitational.”
Highland Katelyn coach Haggerty said her team had some good momentum runs in the match and praised Jersey for its hitters.
She said Highland’s schedule will pick up with Breese Mater Dei on Thursday, the O’Fallon Tourney and some key matches next week.
