Tuesday, October 3, 2017 - 16:28
Breden, now the JCHS principal, said this was quite an accolade for him. It was announced before the Jersey High School football game on Friday night.
“It was quite an honor,” he said. “My dad received it 25 years ago. I have known about the Spirit Award since I was a kid and could remember much of anything.”
Breden described Jersey as a great community and he loves being principal and living in the region.
Breden began his career in education in 1997 as a social studies teacher and football/basketball coach. After seven years in the classroom he was hired as the assistant principal at Roxana High School.
Breden has been an administrator in Jersey since 2008. His experience includes teaching students from seventh through 12th grade and he has been an administrator for pre-kindergarten through high school kids.
Breden and his wife have four daughters, all of which attend Jersey schools, and reside in Jersey County.
