Jersey Homecoming Game Hard Fought

The game was tied at 7-7 at the end of one and 14-14 at the half. Jersey took a lead at the end of the third 21-14. Waterloo knotted the game at 28-all at the end of regulation, then scored in overtime to defeat the Panthers.
The Panthers’ Drew Sauerwein had an outstanding game again, tossing a touchdown pass for 29 yards to Brett Wittman, and a 7-yard TD to Brett Tuttle. He ran for a score from 1 yard out. Kurt Hall ran 14 yards for the Panthers other score.
Sauerwein threw for 190 yards in the game and rushed for 93 yards. Hall had 60 yards rushing.
The Panthers stand 2-4 after the defeat.
