Carrollton 29, Beardstown 23

Carrollton - A 4-yard halfback touchdown pass with 26 seconds left from Byron Holmes to Zach Flowers was the difference in the Carrollton-Beardstown game on Friday night at Carrollton. 

Carrollton emerged 29-23 over the highly regarded Beardstown. 

Carrollton head coach Nick Flowers was extremely excited after the win and said "the sky is the limit" for his Hawks if they continue to work hard and grow through the season. 

Hawks' starting quarterback Hunter Flowers had a great game, with three touchdown passes and 225 yards passing.  

The Hawks, now 2-1, travel to Calhoun for a 7:30 p.m. game this upcoming Friday. 

Carrollton led 21-17 late in the game, but Beardstown scored and took a 23-21 lead until the final pass play of the game from Holmes to Zach Flowers.
