Jersey Volleyball Looks Forward To A Strong Season

Only four seniors graduated from last year’s team. The Panthers have opened their season with the Lady Shells Volleyball Tournament and host cross-town rival Carrollton at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29. The Mississippi Valley Conference will be strong again with Waterloo, Roxana, Highland, Mascoutah and Granite City.

“The MVC is loaded as always,” Jersey head volleyball coach Bob Siemer said. “Mascoutah has finished third in the state the last two years.”

The Panther roster consists of Alexis Liles, Kaitlyn Stellhorn, Madison Nason, Jessica Vetter, Abigail Manns, Katelyn Walker, Hannah Jones, Lauren Brown, Madisyn Carpenter, Sara Lamer, Faith Franke and Samantha Ayres.
