JERSEYVILLE - The Jersey High School football program and cheerleaders were unveiled for 2017 Friday
night in an opening event at Jersey High School's Snyder Sports Complex stadium.
The players and other participants were well received by the large crowd hoping to get a glimpse of what they are going to see on the gridiron this season.
Quarterback Drew Sauerwein will again lead the Jersey offense and he seems as polished as ever.
Jersey returns multiple solid receivers and the passing game should be strong for 2017.
“We had a great summer,” head coach Jon Adkins said. “We just need to polish some things up as the season goes.”
The Panthers open the season this upcoming Friday at 7 p.m. at Granite City.
