Air Supply at Liberty Bank Amphitheater
Monday, July 24, 2017 - 22:22
Liberty Bank Alton Amphitheater was a reminder to the audience that they have received a lot of radio airplay with eight top ten hits. The band formed in 1975 and has now been performing 42 years.
The legendary group brought in a large, participatory crowd. Jenni and Dave Duo were the opening act on the night.
Alton Mayor Brant Walker said, “Air Supply put on a great show with a tremendous performance. The lead singer left the stage, went into the crowd and performed and that was awesome.”
The next show at the Amphitheater is Better Than Ezra which is slated for 7 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5.
Better Than Ezra is most known for its 1995 single “Good,” which hit No. 1, before their debut album Deluxe went double-platinum, before popular shows such as Desperate Housewives licensed their song “Juicy,” before Taylor Swift attested to their timeless appeal by covering their track “Breathless - New Orleans.”
