JERSEYVILLE – The annual Jersey County Fair Demolition Derby is always an attraction to residents and the 2017 event was a great end to a very hot week.
The stands were packed as usual and entries turned out from all across the region, from Jersey, Greene, Calhoun Counties and many other areas.
“It is always a big attraction,” Phil Ringhausen, one of the coordinators of the Jersey County Fair, said. “We are lucky because our fair is good and clean and organized for families of all ages.”
Ringhausen said a total of 40 cars entered this year’s Demo Derby.
Paul Novosel was the winner of the Demolition Derby contest and he said he prepared for months for the event. He also won in 2013.
