Less Bull, More Horsing Around
Wednesday, July 19, 2017 - 17:05
Brandon McLagan, the announcer hired by Wooten Rodeo Co., said he was very pleased with the turnout and the competition with the rodeo participants. "It was my first time to work that rodeo at Jerseyville and I thought it was a good one," he said. "We had a lot of people come up and say they enjoyed the rodeo. Pork Chop the Clown also did a great job and entertained the crowd."
McLagan, a Missouri resident, travels the country for Wooten Rodeo Company, and said there is a big following in Missouri with finals ending each year at Lake St. Louis. He said he thinks the rodeo events offer more variety than bull rides. "The crowd was very enthusiastic," he said. "They came to have a good time and we hope they did."
