Alton Jr. Legion Team Busy With Summer Play

EDWARDSVILLE - The Valmeyer Juniors defeated the Alton Post 126 Junior Legion team 4-0 Monday evening at SIUE. 

Cullen McBride and Ben Mossman collected hits for Alton. 

Alton’s Juniors clipped Highland 12-1 Tuesday night at SIUE to improve to 16-4 overall on the summer. 

Adam Stilts led Alton, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and three runs scored. Ryan Best, Cullen McBride, Gage Booten and Rylee Bernott each had two hits for Alton on Tuesday night.

The juniors travel to Belleville for a 6 p.m. game today. They then travel to Valmeyer for a 6 p.m. Thursday game before entertaining Washington, Mo., at Alton High’s Redbird Field for a 6 p.m. Friday game.
