Erin Mershon covers the politics and policy of health care for STAT in Washington.
She's written extensively on those and other policymaking issues for CQ Roll Call, Politico Pro, the National Journal and several other news outlets. A graduate of Kenyon College in Ohio, Erin won a 2017 Association of Health Care Journalists Fellowship to report on health insurance challenges in rural areas across the U.S. When she's not roaming the Capitol basements, Erin is usually indulging her obsession with ballet, either at a Kennedy Center performance or a beginner class.
